Below you will see a great tips for rest your horses
The fitness advice given here is used for many expert training horses which have a period out at grass after the eventing season but not all horses benefit from a rest like this. If a rest suits them they are turned away for a month to six weeks so they can competing and be horses for a while but other horses are best kept ticking over. It depend on what suit them. Some just do not like going out in the field all that much and some horses just need to be kept moving. A rest is not necessarily the best thing, especially if they have had an injury. Pointed out htat if you are an athete who’s had an injury you do not go and sit in the pub for a month then get back to work. Controlled exercises is the best thing.
